Angled Autoclave Probe SL160 Description: This assembly is an autoclave load probe especially designed to be used with products in bottles or bags. It has a chisel point to allow penetration into the product bottle seal. A 90° bend in the probe also enables the orientation of the product bottle or bag to remain undisturbed. The PTFE insulated sensor leads are encased in a thick walled, extruded silicone jacket, which resists the effects of high temperature steam when used with steam autoclaves and the pure water of a water cycle system. Specification: SHEATH DIMENSIONS Diameter : 3.0mm or 1/8” as standard. Length: 100mm to as required. Position of bend 30mm minimum from collar. COLLAR DIMENSIONS 316/316L stainless steel RTD OPTION Single or duplex PT100 with 2, 3 or 4 wire connection, Class ‘A’ or fractional DIN tolerance and to BS EN 60751:2008. FEP insulated copper conductors, 7/0.15mm (26 AWG) or 7/0.12mm(28 AWG) depending on configuration, to ASTM-B-298 with 250V RMS rating as standard and with a heavy duty extruded silicone rubber jacket , FDA listed (21CFR 177 2600) and is available to USP Class VI on application. OPERATING RANGE Single, duplex or triplex element, type ‘T’ (Cu/Con) to BS EN 60584-1:2013. FEP insulated type ‘T’ conductors, 7/0.2mm as standard in Class 1 material and encased in a thick walled, extruded silicone rubber jacket, FDA listed (21CFR 177 2600) and is available to USP Class VI on application. Minimum overall length of 1000mm. Angled Autoclave Probe SL160 Probe Mounting Options For this type of probe the seal is made directly onto the cable, using Teflon® olives. All the options below can be supplied along with the probes, or ordered separately. Hygienic Compression Fitting: The fitting is designed to fit over the silicone cable, and consists of a compression fitting with Teflon® olive, and a choice of tri-clover flanges (0.5-0.75”, 1-1.5”, 2”, 2.5”, 3”).
