MT Ultrasonic Portable Mapping Tool Product Data Sheet MT Ultrasonic Portable Mapping Tool Acoustic Area Mapping of Incus Detection Range Product Overview The MT is a handheld, battery operated, tool designed to measure the ambient ultrasound in plant locations where Emerson ultrasonic gas leak detectors are being considered for installation. The unit has a LCD display showing the milliampere output over the selected frequency range. The selected range should be identical to that of the Incus units proposed for installation. A switch located on the mapping tool is used for selection of the correct frequency. The MT is not approved for use in hazardous areas. However, as mapping surveys should only be required once, the MT can be simply used under a hot work permit for the duration of the survey. Technician with MT Mapping Tool.
