IEEE 1188-2005 is the recommended practice for maintenance, testing, and replacement of Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries for stationary applications. IEEE BATTERY TESTING SOLUTIONS IEEE 1106-2005 is the recommended practice for maintenance, testing, and replacement of Vented Nickel-Cad mium Batteries (NiCad) for stationary applications. IEEE 1491-2005 is for Selection and Use of Battery Monitoring Equipment in Stationary Applications.
