Technology Overview
The PROFILEMASTER SPS 45/70 is an in-line profile measurement system designed for hot and cold steel applications. It utilizes 4 to 8 cameras to capture and measure any shape in real-time, offering features such as roundness/polygonality mode for round products and surface fault detection (SFD) with a high sampling rate of up to 2000/second. The system compiles a 3D model for accurate measurements and early detection of process problems, operating reliably in harsh conditions up to 1200°C. It simplifies maintenance and logs production data for quality control, eliminating the need for manual measurements.

Measuring Principle
The system is based on 2D laser triangulation and light-sectioning technology. Lasers illuminate the product surface, and matrix cameras capture the light contour. The PROFILEMASTER software combines these segments into an orthogonal profile cross-section. The high-speed solution offers a sampling rate of 2 kHz, improving fault detection and dimensional measurement accuracy, especially beneficial for fast production lines.

In-Line Rebar Measurement
The Rebar Software option measures characteristic dimensions of rebar products during in-line production. It generates a section profile with inner and outer contours for measurement, storing results in the PROFILEMASTER database for analysis. The system can measure up to 4 strands in parallel.

The system supports models SPS 45-2 kHz and SPS 70-2 kHz, with 4 to 8 cameras and a scanning frequency of 2 kHz. It measures fields of ø 45 mm and ø 70 mm, with maximum product dimensions depending on the off-centre position. The system operates in temperatures up to 1200°C and requires a power supply, compressed air, and cooling water.

Safety and Compliance
The system uses Class 3B laser products, adhering to IEC/EN 60825-1:2014 standards. Users are warned to avoid exposure to the laser beam.
