Technology Overview
The PROFILEMASTER SPS 400/600 is an in-line profile measurement system designed for hot and cold steel applications. It utilizes 4 to 8 cameras to capture and measure any shape in real-time, offering features such as roundness/polygonality mode for round products, surface fault detection (SFD), and the ability to compile a 3D model. The system operates reliably in harsh conditions up to 1200°C and supports network capability for integration with higher-level systems.

Measuring Principle
The system is based on 2D laser triangulation and light-sectioning technology. It uses multiple lasers and CMOS cameras to capture the light contour of products, which are then processed into an orthogonal profile cross-section. The high-speed solution offers a sampling rate of up to 2 kHz, enhancing fault detection and dimensional measurement accuracy.

High-Speed 2 kHz Solution
This solution provides high length resolution, stable data acquisition, improved fault detection resolution, and better dimension control, making it suitable for fast production line speeds.

In-Line Rebar Measurement
The system includes a Rebar Software option for measuring characteristic dimensions of rebar products during in-line production. It can measure up to 4 strands in parallel and store results for quality control analysis.

System Components
The system comprises a profile measuring unit, local processing and operation unit, processing and display unit, blower unit, and cooling unit. It requires a 3-phase power supply, compressed air, and cooling water from the customer.

Specifications
The PROFILEMASTER SPS 400/600 models differ in measuring field size and product dimensions they can handle. Both models offer a scanning frequency of 2 kHz, display resolution of 0.001 mm, and repeatability of 0.01 mm. They are designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 45°C and can measure products with a maximum temperature of 1200°C.
