Technical Datasheet Panex® 30 Carbon Yarns High-Performance Carbon Yarns Description Panex® 30 High-Performacne Carbon Yarns are derived from Zoltek's high temperature batch graphitization process; the same process used to manufacture all of Zoltek's high purity PANEX® 30 products. In addition to their high carbon content, the many surface fibrils protruding in various directions from the stretch broken and spun Panex® 30 High-Performacne Carbon Yarns make them ideally suited for high performance applications including carbon/carbon and other refractory composites. Panex® 30 HighPerformacne Carbon Yarns have a density of 1.75 g/cc and a minimum carbon content of 99%. Panex® 30 Carbon Yarns Typical Packaging Certification Panex® 30 Yarns are packaged as wound conical spools with a maximum diameter of 4.75 inches and a height of 6 inches. Spool weights range from 1.5 to 2.0 pounds, depending on yard denier. Panex® 30 Yarns are manufactured in accordance with Zoltek’s written and published data.
