Compared with conventional metal chains, engineering plastic makes this product lightweight and offers superior corrosion resistance. It is also easy to handle. Used in combination with resin sprockets, wear resistance is even better. Open the catalog to page 19Sprockets for Sludge Collector Ductile cast iron (FCD600) was previously the standard material for sprockets, but corrosion and wear within sewage water wore them out faster than stainless steel chains, so that only the sprockets had to be changed. We pursued research and improvement on the basis of our long experience, to develop our corrosion-resistant sprocket series (stainless steel assembled parts). Stainless Sprockets Stainless steel sprockets (SCS2) offer superior corrosion and wear resistance, minimizing the advance of wear and corrosion to extend sprocket lifespan. Use of stainless...
Open the catalog to page 20Settling Basins Assembled Sprockets Assembled sprockets come in segmented and ring types. 1. Segmented type: Tooth tips are of cast stainless steel and bosses are of ductile cast iron. 2. Ring type: The tooth tips are of stainless steel or plastic and bosses are of ductile cast iron. Assembled sprockets also help to achieve similar lifespan extension in stainless chains. For stainless the boundary between the tooth tip and the boss is treated to prevent electrolytic corrosion. Ring type Segmented Type Sprocket Ring Type Sprocket Resin Sprockets and Stainless Steel Sprockets No. of teeth...
Open the catalog to page 21In the past, plastic sprocket materials consisted of a combination of resin for the tooth tips and cast iron for the bosses. This led to heavy sprockets with inferior corrosion resistant bosses. To overcome these issues, the all-resin construction sprocket was born. Features • Good corrosion and wear resistance The sprocket consists of an all-resin construction (excluding key blocks, ancillary bolts, and nuts), lending it an extremely high level of corrosion and wear resistance. • Drive key groove durability The key groove features an embedded stainless steel key block to maintain the...

Hinotch chain sprockets include pin types for drive #Extended service life thanks to distributed wear on the usage and sheave types for driven usage. Open the catalog to page 23Replaceable piece tooth sprocket are replacement pieces that can be bolted to the sprocket body to form a single unit. The sprocket itself is of structural steel, and the replacement tooth pieces are of stainless steel or special plastic. The replacement tooth piece can be replaced just by removing the bolts. The replacement tooth piece has a unitary structure for superior wear resistance. Note: Made with 9 to 13 teeth. TAW pintle chain sprockets are made with ductile cast iron (FCD600) for sufficient strength and durability. The tooth tips are finished with a hardening treatment for wear...
Open the catalog to page 24Settling Basins HB Type Stainless Bushed Chain Standard roller chains were used in the past for sludge collectors, but recently it has been more common to use HB type stainless bushed chains, which offer better wear resistance. P itch, bush diameter and width between internal links are the same as for standard roller chains. Also, the HBD type is a double-pitch version of the HB type. Note: When selecting a standard type roller chain sprocket for an HBD type chain, make sure to use at least 30 teeth. We can also make this product with class 300 stainless steel or duplex stainless steel.
