ZAS Series

Product catalog summary
Overview: The ZAS Series is a range of high-power programmable DC power supplies designed for laboratory, industrial, and OEM applications. These units offer power outputs ranging from 600W to 7200W and voltage outputs from 10VDC to 120VDC. They feature zero voltage soft switching for low ripple and noise, and are equipped with digital encoders for precise voltage and current settings.
Specifications:
  • Input: The input voltage varies by model, with options for single-phase and three-phase inputs. Power factor is typically 0.99 at full load.
  • Output: The output voltage and current are model-dependent, with low output noise and ripple. Efficiency is at least 80%.
  • Regulation: Line and load regulation are both 0.1% for voltage and current. The transient response is less than 200μs for a 40-90% load change.
  • Protection: Includes overvoltage control, over temperature protection, and remote sensing capabilities.
  • Environmental Conditions: Operating temperature ranges from 0 to +50°C, with derating above 40°C. Storage temperature ranges from -20 to +70°C.
  • Safety and EMC: Complies with EN60950 safety standards and various EMC/EMI standards.
Operation and Control: The units support parallel operation with active current sharing and feature a digital rotary encoder for setting voltage, current, and overvoltage limits. They include a last set memory function and remote ON/OFF capabilities.
Programming and Interface: The power supplies offer remote analog programming and monitoring, with isolated inputs and outputs. They support RS232, RS485, and optional GPIB and Ethernet interfaces.
Physical Specifications: The dimensions and weight vary by model, with all units designed for 19” rack mounting.
Options: Additional interfaces such as GPIB and Ethernet are available, with specific configurations depending on the model.
Front and Rear Panel Features: The front panel includes a main ON/OFF switch, digital displays for voltage and current, and LED indicators for various modes. The rear panel includes input connections, fuses, DC output terminals, and interface connectors.

Laboratory Power Supply ZAS Series High Power Progammable DC Power Supply 600W – 7200W / 10VDC – 120VDC Units for Laboratory and Test Zero voltage soft switching technique, low ripple and noise Use of reliable digital encoder for voltage and current setting Micro controller for digital programming Constant Voltage / Constant Current Mode with auto mode crossover LabView and LabWindows drivers Activer PFC at the input with wide input window Four digit seven segment LED display for voltage and current read back 19“ rack mount suitable for ATE and OEM applications Parallel operation with active Current Sharing RS232, RS485, GPIB interface for external programming Galvanic isolated analog programming and mounting surface Optional: Ethernet interface card-kit ZAS Series of programmable DC Laboratory Power Supplies are most flexible and reliable AC/DC Power Systems for OEM, Industrial and Laboratory applications. These are designed with excellent thermal management and can be conveniently stacked in 19” rack mounts without any space between them for ventilation. The zero voltage soft-switching technique employed in them virtually eliminates the switching transients to derive lower noise, which is closer to linear level. This technique also helps increasing the overall conversion efficiency which in turn decreases the heat generation, thus reducing the stress on the power components which results in greater reliability.
