R1000 REGENERATIVE BRAKING UNIT A Smart and Efficient Alternative to Dynamic Braking Unlike dynamic braking, which dissipates all braking energy in the form of heat, the R1000 avoids wasted energy by delivering it back to your power source for use by other loads. SELECTION PROCESS STEP 1 SIZING EXAMPLE Regenerative duty cycle is based on the time the motor is in regeneration compared to the total cycle time. The “on time” is only when the motor is in regeneration. The “off time” can be when the motor is moving the load (motoring at steady state or accelerating) or in an idle state (powered off or stopped).
