Y-Con Cover Overmold Our new Y-Con Cover Overmold RJ45 connector can be used in harsh environments due to Yamaichi’s "Hermetic Sealed" technology. We have used the Hermetic Sealed technology for several years within the photovoltaic area where the lifetime requirement for this technique is up to 25 years. y-con Cover OVERMOLD Advantages The Y-Con Cover-Overmold is designed to withstand extreme mechanical stress which is found mainly in the industrial area. The connector used for RJ45 connection is IP67/68/69K protected and has also a unique cable bend protection as special feature. This cable bend protection still has the full IP protection even when bending the cable up to 180°. The full metal connector itself can be delivered with or without EMI protection. The new design of our Y-Con Cover Overmold connector is EMI protected up to 10kV. The material in the overmold section is excellent against heat aging and also supports a high steady temperature range. The very good oil, resolvent, chemical, UV, ozone and ammoniac resistance guarantees a long life product without any constraint of mechanical, electrical or environmental performance. Like our standard product (Y-ConCover-40), the overmold version is available with all possible variations of RJ45 signal contacts. Intergrated power contacts give the possibility to transmit a power of 2.1A @ 70°C using the same cable without additional cost. All the above mentioned facts and many more make our Y-Con Cover Overmold a reliable connector for all industrial areas.
