Universal Heat Flux Sensor, Series F

Universal Heat Flux Sensor, Series F

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information about the Universal Heat Flow Sensors Series F, designed for industrial, laboratory, and research applications. These sensors measure heat flux through a surface by detecting temperature differences.
Specifications:
  • Heat Flux Range: Up to 3000 BTU/ft².Hr. or 9.5 kW/m².
  • Time Constant: 14 seconds.
  • Temperature Range: -50°C to +150°C (-58°F to +300°F).
  • Thermal Conductivity: 0.18 BTU/ft.Hr.°F or 0.316 W/m.K.
  • Accuracy: ±5%.
  • Linearity: ±2%.
  • Calibration: Each unit comes with a Sensitivity Constant traceable to NIST.
  • Environmental Resistance: Waterproof and impervious to high pressure or vacuum.
  • Heat Flux Direction: Bidirectional response.
Features:
  • Direct heat flux readout with bidirectional measurement.
  • Sensitivity unaffected by vacuum conditions.
  • Self-generating output, requiring no amplifier, power supply, or reference junction.
  • Easy installation by sticking or gluing.
Applications: The sensors are suitable for various applications including green roofs, soil insulation evaluation, submarines, vessels, biomedical uses, pipes, ducts, refineries, reactors, and aerospace.
Models and Dimensions: The document lists several models (F-040-4, F-020-4, F-010-4, F-005-4, F-002-4) with varying sensitivities, impedances, and dimensions, each with a specific order number.
Options: Additional options include integrated thermocouples (T or K), integrated thermistors, and extra cable/lead length, with details available in the price list.

http://www.wuntronic.de e-mail: [email protected] Mess-, Steuer- und Regelgeräte GmbH Universal Heat Flow Sensors For Industry, Laboratory and Resarch Direct Heat Flux Readout Easy to install - stick (glue) Measures Bidirectional Heat Flow Sensitivity unaffected by Vacuum Self-generating output - requires no Amplifier nor Power Supply or Reference Junction Description: Heat flowing through the Heat Flow Sensor, HFS, causes a slight temperature difference across the device. This temperature gradient is directly proportional to heat flux. Multiple miniature thermocouple junctions (Thermopile) properly oriented within the transducer generate a millivolt, mV, output, which needs not be amplified to measure heat flux. Hence, the Hear Flow Sensor may be attached to any surface through which it is desired to record heat flux. The Heat Flow Sensor will not respond to temperature unless an optional Thermocouple is installed too . Green Roof and Soil Insulation evaluation of Roofs, Walls ect.
