Introduction Properties of the insulating materials The insulating bodies of our terminals are made of polyamide 66. Even if this polyamide is subjected to a constant temperature of 100°C, it fulfills the electrical, mechanical and chemical properties required in terminals. The typical features of polyamide 66 are hardness, rigidity, scuff resistance and thermal endurance. Fuse terminals and fuse plugs, where constant temperatures of over 100°C can occur, are made of polyamide 66 reinforced with fibreglass.
