The Wilson High Performance™ (HP) Ball Lock system by Impax Tooling Solutions® is engineered to boost productivity and reduce downtime in high-volume stamping applications. It is the only system in the industry made with standard M4 tool steel, ensuring superior quality and performance.
The system uses M4 particle-metallurgy (PM) tool steel, known for its exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and durability, outperforming traditional A2 and M2 tool steels. Tools are hardened and triple tempered to HRC 62-64, minimizing issues like breaking, chipping, and tool fatigue.
The system includes a range of punches, dies, and retainers designed for precision and consistency. It allows for quick punch removal and replacement, ensuring precise alignment and extended punch life.
The exclusive Optima® coating enhances surface hardness, wear resistance, and lubricity, leading to longer tool life, more hits between sharpenings, and reduced downtime. It also reduces material adhesion, slug pulling, and corner breakdown.
Minimum order value is $50.00 with net 10-day terms. Orders require credit approval, and a handling charge applies to returned standard parts. Special tooling is non-returnable.
The HP Accu-Lock® Retainer Inserts enable on-site creation, modification, and reuse of special retainers, reducing lead times and waste. These inserts are compatible with all ball lock punches.
