Specifications
The Professional Line u[sonic] is an ultrasonic wind sensor with a measurement range for wind direction from 0 to 359.9° and wind speed from 0 to 75 m/s. It offers an accuracy of 2° for wind direction and ±0.2 m/s for wind speed at 10 m/s, with a resolution of 0.1° and 0.1 m/s respectively. The sensor has a trigger threshold of 0.1 m/s, adjustable for wind direction.

Output and Configuration
The sensor supports RS 485 NMEA0183 and 4...20 mA outputs by default, with configurable analog outputs of 0...20 mA, 0...5 V, and 0...10 V. An optional RS 422 output is available.

The u[sonic] sensor is seawater resistant and heated, suitable for cold climates. It features no moving parts, reducing wear, and intelligent heating based on wind conditions. It is easy to install and service.

Supports NMEA 0183, with optional Modbus RTU and SDI-12. It operates in temperatures from -40 to +70 °C, or -50 to +70 °C with heating, and can withstand wind speeds up to 100 m/s. The supply voltage ranges from 6 to 60 VDC or 24 V AC/DC.

Physical and Environmental Specifications
The sensor is made of seawater-resistant aluminum, with dimensions of Ø 199 mm and height 149 mm, weighing approximately 2 kg. It meets protection classes IP 66 and IP 67 and complies with various standards including VDE 0100, EMC/EMI, and MIL-STD-810G.

Complies with standards such as DIN EN 60945, DIN EN 61000, and MIL-STD-810G. It has undergone salt fog, cold, condensation, and salt mist tests.
