Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The Wilcoxon Research model 712F is a high-frequency accelerometer with an integral cable. It has a sensitivity of 100 mV/g at 25°C and can measure up to 60 g peak acceleration. The frequency response ranges from 9.0 to 25,000 Hz, depending on the tolerance level. The resonance frequency when mounted is greater than 45 kHz, and the transverse sensitivity is a maximum of 3% of axial.

Electrical Characteristics:
The accelerometer requires a voltage source of 18-30 VDC and a current regulating diode of 2-10 mA. It has a nominal electrical noise of 1,000 µg over a broadband of 2.5 Hz to 25 kHz. The output impedance is a maximum of 100 Ω, with a nominal bias output voltage of 12 VDC. The device is case isolated and internally shielded.

Environmental Specifications:
The operating temperature range is from -50°C to 120°C. It can withstand vibration limits of ±1,000 g and shock limits up to 5,000 g peak. The device is hermetically sealed and has a base strain sensitivity of 0.03 g/µstrain.

Physical Characteristics:
The sensing element is designed with PZT ceramic in a shear configuration. The device weighs 35 grams and is made from 316L stainless steel. It is mounted using an 8-32 captive screw with a 0.047” diameter safety wire hole. The integral cabling is J9T2A, 16 ft. blunt cut.

Features:
The accelerometer is corrosion-resistant, hermetically sealed, ground isolated, and offers ESD, reverse wiring, and EMI/RFI protection.

Accessories:
Supplied with an 8-32 captive screw and calibration data (level 2).
