Sensitive edge BOS2230 Principle of operation The operation of the sensitive edge is comparable to that of a switch. It consists of an outer shell with elastic deformation and an internal element consisting of two conductive parts that are spaced apart from each other and then isolated. By exerting pressure on the outer casing, this deforms, causing the two conductive elements to contact, thus determining a continuity between the parts. The latter, being in tension, let the current flow around the circuit. The signal produced, detected by an electronic control unit, is amplified and translated into an external signal that can be used to determine the blocking of moving elements or the activation of an alarm signal. The system can therefore be reset, only by the conscious will of the operator, when the cause that triggered the activation ceased. High sensitivity Minimal actuating force Elastic deformation also at the end-caps' profile Elastic deflexion in all directions Good flexibility at very low temperature Wires' connection free and flexible Electric cable connection by four or two wires Cable connection at one or two bottom-lateral sides End caps welded Fitting support in aluminium profile Available several standard shapes Not-standard shapes can be supplied for orders over 5 linear metres Technical Data Compound batch Hardness Colour Flame behaviour UV radiation strength Oil corrosion strength Aromatic solvent strength Chlorinated solvent strength Operating temperature Storage temperature Degree of protection Feeding power Max current absorption Sensitivity Standard electric cable length : PVC and rubber : 66 Sh.A : Yellow : Self-extinguishing : Good : Good : Good : Poor : from - 30 to + 70 C° : from - 5 to + 50 C° : IP 65 : 24 Vac/dc : 0.5A : 36N : 2m (different
