Data rates 9600 and 19200 bit/s are supported over a range of up to 10 km (6.21 mi).  The transmission range and number of multidrop points are affected by the number of connected modems and line quality. Typically 10 TD-29P could be connected along 11 km of cable at a data rate of 9600 bit/s.  TD-29P is designed for dedicated lines and must not be connected to the telephone network or leased lines. TD-29P is intended for mounting on a 35 mm DIN-rail, where the modem is attached and locked in a single action.
