Product catalog summary
General Overview
The PD60 transmitter is designed for differential pressure and flow measurements in gases, vapors, and liquids. It offers spans from less than 1 mbar to 3000 mbar, with nominal pressures of PN10, PN16, or PN100. The standard output is a 4-20 mA signal proportional to the differential pressure, flow, or level. The device operates on a two-wire principle and is powered by DC voltage.

Description
The PD60 consists of a measuring cell, process flanges, and an electronic housing. The measuring cell is made of sintered aluminum oxide ceramic, and the process flanges are available in various materials. The device allows for easy adjustment of pressure line arrangements by rotating the housing up to 360°. It features microprocessor-controlled electronics for precise signal processing and monitoring, with an optional local LCD display for setup and error indication.

Operating Principle
The measuring cell includes a ceramic body and diaphragms filled with liquid. Changes in differential pressure cause diaphragm displacement, measured as capacitance. The device self-monitors for temperature-related changes and provides alarms for discrepancies.

Technical Data
  • Input: Suitable for liquids, gases, and vapors, including aggressive and corrosive media.
  • Output Signal: Standard 4-20 mA with HART protocol, adjustable alarm signals, and ripple effects.
  • Dynamic Response: Warm-up delay is less than 10 seconds, with adjustable damping.
  • Power Supply: 10.5-45 VDC, with specific requirements for explosion-proof models.
  • Environmental Conditions: Operates in temperatures from -40 to +85°C, with 100% relative humidity permissible.
  • Explosion Protection: Certified for ATEX e G 1/2, with specific mounting requirements in hazardous areas.

Materials and Construction
The electronic housing is made of die-cast aluminum with a chromated surface and epoxy polyester coating. Process flanges and seals are available in materials like steel, SS 316L, and various elastomers.

Mounting and Installation
The transmitter can be mounted on pipes or walls using a bracket or valve manifold. It features a ¼-18NPT-f thread for process coupling.

Ordering and Documentation
Includes options for different measuring cells, gaskets, process flanges, and additional documentation like safety instructions and certificates.
