Operation

The valve prevents flow from port ① to ② until the set crack pressure at ① is achieved. The poppet then unseats, allowing flow from ① to ②, protecting the circuit from over-pressurization. When pressure at ② rises above the spring's bias pressure, the poppet is lifted, and flow is allowed from ② to ①.
