Features

The balance valve setting should be at least 1.3 times the load pressure.

Operation

Counterbalance valves with pilot assist control overrunning loads. They allow free flow from the directional valve (port 2) to the load (port 1) and control flow from port 1 to port 2 using a direct-acting, pilot-assisted relief valve. Pilot assist at port 3 reduces the effective setting of the relief valve based on the pilot ratio.
