Operation

The dual counterbalance valve provides static and dynamic load control by regulating the flow in and out of the actuator through ports C1 and C2. It consists of two sections, each with a check valve and a relief valve controlled by pilot pressure from the opposite line. The check valve allows free flow into the actuator and locks against reverse movement. Pilot pressure reduces the relief valve's pressure setting proportionally, allowing controlled reverse flow. Back-pressure at V1 or V2 adds to the pressure settings.
