foto - captor 3. Temperature Response a) Set-point Temperature The set-point temperature is related to the percentage of the scanned area filled by hot metal. The response temperature of 650 °C is related to 100 % scanned area and is called minimum response temperature. The smaller the percentage of the scanned area is, the higher the temperature of the hot metal has to be. This relation can be seen on the temperature response curve. The calculated temperature increase from this curve has to be added to the minimum response temperature of 650 °C to find the real set-point temperature. Example:...
