Procedure:
  1. Step 1: The flow drilling screw contacts the surface at low pressure and RPM.
  2. Step 2: High RPM and force cause the material to plasticize and "flow."
  3. Step 3: Formation of a cylindrical passage.
  4. Step 4: End of the "flow" phase, beginning of the thread rolling process with reduced RPM and thrust.
  5. Step 5: Normal screwdriving.
  6. Step 6: Material cools and constricts around the fastener, forming an air and water-tight joint.
