Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and installation guidelines for the Watts Series 007 Double Check Valve Assemblies, designed for non-health hazard applications to prevent backflow of polluted water into potable water supplies.
Specifications: The valve assemblies are available in sizes ranging from 1/2" to 3" (15-80mm). They consist of two positive seating check modules with replaceable seats and rubber seat discs. The assemblies include resilient seated isolation valves and top-mounted test cocks. They meet ASSE Std. 1015 and AWWA Std. C510 standards and are approved by the Foundation for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research at the University of Southern California.
Features: Key features include ease of maintenance with a single cover, top entry, modular construction, compact design, and no special tools required for servicing. The body construction varies with size, using cast bronze for 1/2" to 2" and fused epoxy-coated cast iron for 2 1/2" to 3".
Installation Requirements: Installation should comply with local authority guidelines, particularly regarding vertical orientation and testing frequency. The assemblies are suitable for cross-connections identified as non-health hazards by local inspection authorities.
Pressure and Temperature Ratings: For sizes 1/2" to 2", the temperature range is 33°F to 180°F with a maximum working pressure of 175 psi. For sizes 2 1/2" to 3", the continuous temperature range is 33°F to 110°F, with intermittent up to 140°F, and the same maximum pressure.
Approvals and Standards: The assemblies are approved by ASSE, AWWA, IAPMO, CSA, and UPC. UL classification applies to certain models and configurations.
Dimensions and Weights: Detailed dimensions and weights are provided for various models and sizes, highlighting the compact and efficient design of the assemblies.
Flow and Pressure Drop: Graphs and data tables illustrate the pressure drop across different flow rates for various sizes, indicating the efficiency and performance of the valve assemblies under typical conditions.
