Junction Types

Grounded Junction: Wires are grounded to the sheath, providing protection from mechanical damage and environmental exposure, resulting in longer wire life.
Ungrounded Junction: Wires are insulated from the sheath, making the thermocouple ungrounded relative to the sheath material.
Weld Pad Junction: Used for fastening thermocouples to surfaces for efficient temperature measurement.
Exposed Junction: Wires are exposed, providing faster response but are susceptible to moisture, mechanical damage, and environmental exposure.

Transition Protection

WATTCO™ transition protects splices from moisture, vibration, and mechanical damage, suitable for temperatures -185°C to 250°C.

Thermocouple/Instrumentation Extension Wire

Various gauges and types available with specific insulation and temperature ratings.

Calibration Types

Type K: Reliable up to 1260°C, must be protected from sulfurous atmospheres.
Type J: Suitable for various atmospheres up to 750°C, not for sulfurous atmospheres above 538°C.
Type T: Corrosion resistant, ideal for temperatures under zero, used in laboratories.
Type E: High EMF characteristics, used up to 750°C, common in power plants.
Types R, S, B, N: Available upon request with specific temperature ranges and tolerances.

Sheath Materials

304 Stainless Steel: General purpose, economical, good corrosion resistance, max temperature 900°C.
310 Stainless Steel: Superior for high temperatures, max temperature 1150°C.
316 Stainless Steel: Superior corrosion resistance, used in food processing, max temperature 900°C.
800 Inconel®: High nickel and chromium content, used in furnaces and chemical processing, max temperature 1150°C.
