Design and Technology
With over 40 years of experience, Watlow has developed the OPTIMAX® Heat Exchanger by improving traditional design criteria. The EFD technology ensures advanced flow without compromising fluid integrity, while Optimized Film Temperature (OFT) technology enhances heating element performance. The design allows for backward compatibility with existing systems.

The technologies have been validated through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling, alongside over 5000 hours of laboratory testing.

ANSI compatible flanges ranging from 3 to 48 inches.
Hazardous area ratings include ATEX and IEC standards, as well as Class 1, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups B, C & D.
ASME code welding available for flange assemblies and pressure vessels.
Compatibility with Watlow’s control panel systems.
