Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and guidelines for the EB Series Electro Brakes, which are shaft-mounted brakes designed for power-on applications. These brakes are pre-engineered and pre-packaged for easy installation on motors or through shafts.
Selection Procedure:
  1. Determine the motor horsepower and RPM at the brake location.
  2. Use the Horsepower vs. Shaft Speed chart to select the appropriate Electro Brake size.
  3. Specify bore size and voltage when ordering.
  4. For optimal performance, use a Warner Electric Control.
Specifications:
  • Torque range: 16 to 465 lb. ft.
  • Handles 1 to 75 HP at 1800 RPM.
  • Adjustable torque arm for flexible mounting.
  • UL Listed conduit box.
  • Long life with no maintenance required, automatically adjusts for wear.
Mounting and Design:
  • Brakes can be mounted anywhere on the shaft using a torque arm.
  • Standard bushings accommodate a wide range of shaft sizes.
  • No assembly required; simply insert the bushing, slide on the shaft, and bolt down the torque arm.
Model Specifications:
  • EB-375: Static Torque 16 lb. ft., Max Speed 5000 RPM, Weight 4 lbs.
  • EB-475: Static Torque 30 lb. ft., Max Speed 4500 RPM, Weight 7 lbs.
  • EB-650: Static Torque 95 lb. ft., Max Speed 3600 RPM, Weight 11.3 lbs.
  • EB-825: Static Torque 125 lb. ft., Max Speed 3600 RPM, Weight 20 lbs.
  • EB-1000: Static Torque 240 lb. ft., Max Speed 2000 RPM, Weight 35.5 lbs.
  • EB-1225: Static Torque 465 lb. ft., Max Speed 2000 RPM, Weight 52.5 lbs.
Adapter Requirements: For through-shaft mounting, specify bore size and order bushings separately for EB-475 and EB-650. For motor mounting, order the adapter separately.
Optional Motor Shaft Adapter: Ten motor shaft adapters are available for mounting Electro-Brakes on single shaft extension motors. The adapter can be eliminated for double shaft extension motors.
