VW Butterfly Valves consist of a single block body manufactured from die-cast aluminium, a carbon 304 stainless steel disc including shafts and an elastomer seal. Manual, pneumatic or electromechanical actuators can be applied to this type of valve; all these devices are perfectly interchangeable (see ACTUATOR cat.). The interchangeability of the drive shaft (standard: DIN 5482; option: ISO 5211) and the universal connection to different size flanges results in a great variety of configurations.
