SPIRAMATIC Fine Drum Screens VSA and VSA MBR

Product catalog summary
Overview: The SPIRAMATIC Fine Drum Screens VSA and VSA MBR are designed for waste water treatment, featuring a rotating drum screen, conveyor screw, and compaction zone. They efficiently wash, convey, and dewater waste water screenings in a single unit.
Specifications: The drum screen can be constructed from steel bars or a perforated sheet filter, with slot widths determined by the distance between bars. The cylindrical drum can be installed in a channel or tank. The system includes self-cleaning features and a spray nozzle set for filter maintenance.
Benefits: Key benefits include a triple face seal for fine solids capture, an external spray bar for optimal small solids capture, a cleaning brush for screen maintenance, and a durable, self-lubricating bronze bushing. The system is designed for low energy consumption and minimal maintenance.
Applications: The system is suitable for various filter mesh sizes, including MBR pre-treatment (1.0 to 3.0 mm round holes) and other uses (up to 6.0 mm round holes and wedge wire). It accommodates channel widths from 600 to 3,000 mm and features a 35-degree incline angle.
Technical Features: The frame is made from 304 L / 316 L stainless steel, with options for removable or fixed covers, a bagger, heating device, and control panel. The spiral is manufactured from special ST 52 steel or stainless steel.
Performance: The document provides detailed performance data for various VSA models, including channel width, height, discharge height, total length, and drive power. Peak flow rates are specified for both MBR and non-MBR applications, with data on circular holes and wedge wire configurations.

SPIRAMATIC Fine Drum Screens VSA and VSA MBR-1

Waste Water Treatment SPIRAMATIC VSA Fine Drum Screens consist of a rotating drum screen, a conveyor screw, and a compaction zone. Depending on the application, the fine screen drum can be made up of a set of steel bars – in which case the distance between the bars determines the desired slot width – or of a perforated sheet filter. The cylindrically shaped drum can be placed inside a channel or in a fabricated tank. SPIRAMATIC VSA Fine Drum Screens wash, convey and dewater waste water screenings all in one unit. They are designed to wash out organic matter from screenings. Both screen basket and dewatering zone are self-cleaning. Rotating around its axis, the cylindrical filter conveys the screenings to a loading hopper placed in the centre. A set of spray nozzles washes the filter during operation. A screw, placed inside the conveying pipe, with its top in the discharge hopper, conveys the screenings towards the following treatment stages during which organic substances are washed out. Subsequently, solids are compacted and dewatered in the compacting and drainage area. Finally, solids are discharged through a discharge chute into a container or compactor. Triple face seal for maximum capture efficiency of fine solids; Spray bar installed on the outside of the screen basket, thus enabling optimum capture of small solids; Cleaning brush fitted on the screen maintains screen surface clean; Durable brush attached to the flighting on the auger trough sweeping even smallest solids into auger trough for removal; 33 Large, robust, self-lubricating bronze bushing (no lubrication pump or maintenance required); 33 Low energy consumption and limited maintenance. www.savi-water.com www.wamgroup.com Rights reserved to modify technical specifications.
