Overview: This document outlines the technical details and advantages of the MU Live Bin Bottoms system, which is engineered for discharging challenging materials from silos, hoppers, and other containers. It is suitable for a variety of materials, including milling products, non-homogeneous products, bridging materials, pasty materials, and pharmaceutical products.
Technical Specifications: The system features a fabricated trough with a top flange designed to fit bin outlets. It includes 2 to 6 screws with variable pitch flights, ensuring a constant feed rate and a large extraction area. The design prevents bridging and segregation, allowing efficient handling of difficult products.
Benefits: The MU Live Bin Bottoms offer several key benefits, such as consistent product discharge, a large extraction area, prevention of bridging and segregation, robust construction, high operational safety, and a self-cleaning effect, making it ideal for handling difficult materials.
Construction Details: The system is built with heavy-duty mild steel troughs of modular length. It includes end bearings available in flange or foot-mounted types, with high-resistance cast-iron casing, roller bearings, rotary shaft seals, and grease nipples. The flights are made of mild steel and come in helicoid or paddle types with various diameters and pitches.
Optional Features: The system can be customized with additional inlets and outlets, safety flaps with micro-limit switches, and stainless steel versions (304 and 316) upon request.
Applications: The MU Live Bin Bottoms are particularly effective for milling products (e.g., flour, bran, chalk), non-homogeneous products (e.g., wood chippings, paper scrap), bridging materials (e.g., sawdust, soy meal), pasty materials (e.g., biological sludge, process waste), and pharmaceutical products (e.g., mold residues).
