The machine is closed loop driven by a high responsive, water cooled spindle. The spindle on the opposite side is not powered and features extremely low friction so that the torque loading on the sample is minimized. To reduce the friction, minimize the torque loading on the sample, remove the heat and to extend the lifetime, the spindle is water-cooled.
