When the coil is energized, the pilot valve opens, relieving the pressure above the piston, which is lifted from its seat by the laminar plunger. When de-energized, a spring closes the pilot valve and opens a bleed passageway to permit pressure to build above the piston and seat it. Installation on the suction side insulates it from varying discharge parameters such as high or inconsistent pressures. Moving liquid during the suction stroke senses that the pump is metering chemical and provides a pulse output for each verified flow pulse. Accessories Anti-Syphon/Back Pressure and Pressure Relief Valves These rugged valves are constructed from PVC, PP, PVDF, or SS components to ensure long life and reliability. The spring loaded PTFE faced diaphragms provide positive discharge pressure to stabilize pump output and prevent syphoning. All valves are screw adjustable from 0 to 150 psi.
