Produkt Range Supervision via Relay, JUMP software or SNMP www.jovyatlas.de www.jovyatlas.de www.jovyatlas.de Produkt Range Alerts and server shutdown in heterogeneous networks using RCCMD RCCMD (= Remote Console Command) multi-server software is a globally successful software solution that is deployed in problem situations to send messages, safely execute commands and instigate system shutdown on remote computers. In the process it is possible to transmit messages between computers with all commonly available operating systems. RCCMD makes it possible to shut down several hundred protected computers in a network at the same time (if required, with a time delay) and, above all, in a controlled way. RCCMD can be used in over 35 operating systems. With RCCMD version 3, up to four UPS systems can be grouped together as a parallel redundant group. RCCMD is compatible with both the JUMP software and the CS-121 series SNMP adapter. The RCCMD module is pre-integrated into the CS-121 and also contained in the JUMP software as an independent program module. RCCMP is listed as “sender” on the PC with the JUMP software installed or, alternatively, the CS-121. On all other computers, the RCCMD module is listed as “Listener” = “Client”; these computers all respond to the RCCMD “sender” module. The MODBUS unit converts the data stream from the UPS system into the MODBUS protocol. The most important operating parameters and alarms are provided at the same time. In the case of systems in the JOVYSTAR mono / delta / mega range, this is an extra adapter which is connected to the RS232 interface of the UPS. Systems in the JOVYSTAR plus / PRO / HP range come equipped with an additional interface card for the MOBUS output. With both UPS series, the MODBUS connection is available in the form of an RS485 interface; in the case of the JOVYSTAR mono/delta/mega adapter this is alternatively available in the form of an RS232 interface. PROFIBUS-DP The PROFIBUS connection is an extension of the MODBUS system. The PROFIBUS-DP enables central control of decentralized peripherals; in this connection, the focus is on the many diagnostic options. Visualization software enables both UPS diagnosis and display of the operating condition in real-time mode or in time windows that can be freely set by the user. An interface for direct connection to the PROFIBUS-DP system in line with DIN EN 50170 is available for all UPS systems. A prerequisite for the use of the JUMP software as a monitoring tool is the availability of a PC which is directly connected to the UPS. In addition to the UPS control and monitoring functions, the JUMP software also enables the regulated shutdown of all computers in a network, regardless of operating system (multi-server shutdown). The JUMP software guarantees that all users supplied via the UPS are informed of the network failure and that the operating systems can be shut down in an orderly fashion after a time which may be set by the operator or shortly before the batteries are fully discharged. When the JUMP software is used to monitor the UPS systems, the PC used in the monitoring is connected directly to the UPS system via the RS232 interface. The JUMP software can be used both as a single workstation version and for networks (homogeneous and heterogeneous). It is sufficient for just one of the computers to be connected to the UPS. The remaining computers are informed via the network. The computers in the data network can of course have different operating systems.
