In the event of an on-board mains failure, it is essential to maintain the full functioning of important systems such as emergency lights, radio, navigation, automation and communications for a specic period. During construction of this type of UPS system the relevant regulations of the classication society have to be observed for each ship. JOVYATLAS has gone in recent years from strength to strength into a leading manufacturer of ship UPS systems. With over 65 years’ experience in manufacturing UPS and rectier systems according to the standards of such ship classication societies as German Lloyd, Lloyds Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas and R.I.N.A. we are well known and approved partner of shipyards worldwide. We have an extensive number of notable references all around the globe. JOVYSTAR ocean - systems are available within a power range of 5-30 kVA (3-ph. input- / 1-ph. output) or 5-200 kVA (3-ph. input/output). UPS-systems out of JOVYSTAR ocean series are working in onlineoperation (permanent converter) according protection class VFI-SS-111. The online-operation secures the permanent power supply of the connected loads via inverter - this means security at the best for each onboard consumers. Microprocessor-controlled monitoring of the inverter, rectier, static bypass and battery ensures the high reliability of the UPS system. The automatic storage of alarm messages alows to locate the exact source of error even afterwards. An integrated RS 232 interface offers the possibility of remote maintenance and fault analysis via satellite or mobile phone. The standard RS 485 interface enables connection of a remote display (available as an option). SNMP-compatible monitoring software can also be supplied for installation on the ship’s own computer network. UPS systems for ships are customized manufactured unique devices, depending on the respective loads have to be supplied. JOVYATLAS does not use any standard UPS systems for the JOVYSTAR ocean but manufactures a specific system each and every application. There are only robust sheet steel cabinets certied by the classication society in use. When installing the electronics we take every care to ensure that all components are assembled entirely user-friendly - all parts are accessible from the front for servicing and can be replaced with a minimum of effort. By this way we guarantee that, should repairs be necessary, downtimes are kept very short. Naturally all systems out of the JOVYSTAR ocean series are vibration-proof and adapted to wallplacement.
