Product Range Resistors Steel Grid Resistors www.jovyatlas.de www.jovyatlas.de www.jovyatlas.de Steel-grid resistors made by JOVYATLAS consist of stainless steel plates punched in a meandering pattern. The meander-shaped punching with different patterns or slots allows the realisation of precisely defined resistance values even at same sized elements. JOVYATLAS‘ resistor elements are available with resistance ranges from 8.8 mOhm up to 6.2 Ohm. The customized, specific dimensioning of the permanent rating is possible. JOVYATLAS steel-grid resistors are exceptionally sturdy, heat-resistant and resilient. They can take high loads and represent particularly a good value for money. It is your matter to choose between resistor-elements made of standard stainless steel or made of a special copper-nickel-alloy. To achieve mechanical stability both grid types are reinforced at the long sides of the grids. Using a M-12 threaded rod and cylindrical ceramic spacers, the grids are combined to individual blocks to create resistor blocks offering increased performances/ ratings. This construction guarantees a large surface area ensuring that heat can be easily dissipated into the environment. This technology makes it possible to achieve prolonged, high permanent ratings. In order to facilitate different protection classes and high power levels, the resistor blocks are built into galvanized sheet steel husings. Depending on the type of application, these housings are naturally air-cooled or forced air ventilated. We distinguish between grid resistors of the type HSW and SPR. The continuous power rating of the HWS grid resistance is about 500 W. For connection of the individual resistor elements in parallel or in series we‘re using distance pieces between the gratings. The steel grid resistors out of the SPR series are stainless steel sheets punched meandering, too. Unlike the HWS series, however, the dimensions of the resistor grids are depending on the resistor values specified by the customers. The single resistor grids were connected by screwing.
