Thanks to the mechanically high stable design with sliding drawers the battery cabinets of this type are particularly suitable for use on ships or for industrial applications but as suitable in the mining industry, too. The battery cabinet type BC is characterized by high mechanical strength, safe contact protection (no unprotected, open accessibility to the batteries‘ contacts), very easy access to all monitoring equipment and quick and easy installation of battery. The efficient design with battery drawers saves time and money in case of battery replacement or maintenance. Battery cabinets of type BC offer maximum space for batteries with a minimum need for floor space. The compact and user friendly design of the new battery cabinets enables a spacesaving integration even under limited assembly preconditions. Due to the felicitous cabinet design the battery cabinet can be integrated into existing switchgears. Specific customer requirements, such as the installation of an air conditioning for example, are easily realizable. The installation of air conditioning in the front or in the roof allows the use of the battery cabinet even in warm areas (production halls) without any affection of the temperature increases onto battery lifetime. The drawers are manufactured individually for each type of battery. Through the use of interstitial profiles of synthetic material (rib multiwall sheets) a vastly improved heat dissipation is ensured which benefits the batteries‘ life times. The internal mechanism is optimized for AGM batteries of type J or JL, but can be adapted for each AGM, too. Even fully laden with batteries the battery cabinets type BC are easily to transport with a forklift truck. To accommodate large amounts and weights of batteries the battery cabinets are equipped with very stable bases of u-profiles. After installation, the profiles are covered with perforated panels to ensure air convection. With the battery cabinet of the type BC a maximum capacity of 64 x 26 Ah per rack is realizable. To increase capacity, multiple cabinets are needed. It‘s not necessary to connect these multiple cabinets in next-another position because each battery cabinet is equipped with a separate battery breaker.
