When used with USB-2COM ECO and Cat5 cables, this adapter brings standard DSub-9 male RS232 connectors to this device. DB9M-TO-RJ45 RJ45 Adapter, converts Cat5 to Dsub-9 male socket. Accessory for Serial Device Server or USB to Serial Devices (Especially USB-2COM ECO) Signal assignment When used with VScom serial ports in RS422 or RS485 operation, the balanced signals are located on twisted pairs in a Cat5 cable.
