Material Data Sheet for Voxeljet 3D Printers:
  • Base Material: PMMA particle material available in 55µm and 85µm.
  • Binder Type: Polypor B and Polypor C.
  • Tensile Strength: ≥ 2.0 MPa.
  • Yield Point: 1%.
  • Burn-out Temperature: 700°C for 55µm and 600°C for 85µm.
  • Residual Ash Content: Less than 0.3 weight % for 55µm and less than 0.02 weight % for 85µm.
  • Advantages: Sharp edges, high accuracy, true-to-detail, reusable particle material, good for dyeing, burns out well.
  • Layer Thickness: 150 – 200 µm; standard is 150 µm.
  • Resolution: Up to 600 dpi.
  • Accuracy: +0.4% (minimum +0.3 mm).

  • Characteristics: Wax is smooth and liquid; Epoxy is solid, dyeable, and has a resistant surface.
Suitable Finishing Treatment for Plastic:
  • Base material can be any standard raw silica sand.
  • Binder type is Phenolic binder.
  • Bending strength ranges from 250 – 500 N/cm².
  • Loss on ignition is adjustable (2.0 – 2.6 weight %).
  • Especially suited for sandcasting with low emissions.
  • Layer thickness is 250 – 300 µm; standard is 300 µm.
  • Resolution is up to 300 dpi.
  • Accuracy is +0.1% (minimum + layer thickness).

  • No sand pre-treatment needed.
  • No activator or mixer required.
  • Easy to finish with a dry process.
  • Sand is almost 100% recyclable.
  • Castable with all current alloys.
  • Very good bending strength.
