Product catalog summary
Advantages of PPC2 Models:
  • Increased resolution with sharp edges and improved surface quality.
  • Handles like conventional wax parts after wax infiltration.
  • No shell cracking due to negative coefficient of thermal expansion.
  • Suitable for autoclaves, even for thin-walled parts.
  • Easy burnout with minimal residual ash.
  • No heat distortion as hardening is a chemical process.
  • Colored display models possible through epoxy infiltration.
Printing Process:
  • Available Systems: VX500, VX1000, VX200.
  • Build Space: VX500 - 500 x 400 x 300 mm, VX1000 - 1,000 x 600 x 500 mm, VX200 - 274 x 174 x 127 mm.
  • Medium Grain Size: 85 µm for VX500/VX1000, 38 µm for VX200.
  • Layer Thickness: 150 µm for VX500/VX1000, 100 µm for VX200.
  • Print Resolution: 600 dpi.
Post Process:
  • Drying Time in Jobbox: 18 hours.
  • Time in Oven: 4 - 5 hours at 40°C for VX500/VX1000, 60°C for VX200.
Technical Data and System Features:
  • Improved surface quality due to finer particle material.
  • High level of detail with high resolution and thinner layer thickness.
  • High edge sharpness and increased print head lifetime.
  • Efficient part production for commercial castings.

Material data sheet for PPC²-2

VX200 PPC2 The VX200 PPC2 is an affordable entry into 3D printing for investment casting foundries with an efficient part production for commercial castings such as turbine impellers and turbine blades. The new PPC2 is a modified version of the existing PolyPor PMMA processes, printing at an overall increased resolution. The improved surface quality and sharp edges on the parts are related to a finer PMMA particulate material of 37 µm (0,037 mm) average grain size, which enables printing at a reduced layer thickness of 100 µm. System Features Technical Data Improved surface quality due to finer...
