Charcoal Filter Elements V o i g t - Charcoal filter elements consist of an outer and an inner support shell, a prefilter, the activated carbon granule, a protective fleece and the two end caps with seals. Apart from the activated carbon granule and the two flat seals, all used materials (support shell, prefilter, protective fleece and the both end caps) are made of 100% polypropylene. The prefilter material is offered as standard in 5 different grades of fineness. The main task of the protective fleece is to prevent the activated carbon granule, which is situated between the two support shells, from reaching the filtrate. The material of the two seals can be adapted to the respective field of application. Our filter elements are available in 9 different standard lengths. However, they can be produced in every other length up to max. 1016 mm. The flow takes place from the outside to the inside. To guarantee a sufficiently long contact time of the medium with the activated carbon granules, the maximum flow capacity should not be exceeded. In individual cases it can be necessary to further lower the flow rate to achieve an optimal filtration result. Our activated charcoal filter elements are applicable in all standard cartridge filter housings. Therefore, it is possible to operate the filter housing with other filter elements (e.g. yarn wound filter elements) if needed.
