Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides technical specifications and applications for the INVIZ UVin dual videoscope, which utilizes advanced LED illumination technology for non-destructive testing (NDT) and other industrial applications.
Specifications:
  • The UVin is available in two diameters and lengths: 4 meters (desktop) and 8 or 15 meters (reel design).
  • Power requirements are 96 - 256VAC, 50/60Hz, consuming 60 Watts.
  • Dimensions for the desktop model are 236mm x 133mm x 285mm, weighing 4.3 kg, while the reel design measures 429mm x 450mm x 285mm, weighing 13.1 kg for the 15-meter probe.
  • Video output options include S-Video/composite video, available in PAL or NTSC formats, with resolutions of 440,000 pixels (PAL) and 380,000 pixels (NTSC).
  • The optical system features a 130° field of view (FOV) at 0° direction of view (DOV).
  • Probes are made of stainless steel/polyurethane, with insertion tubes of 4 meters/10mm and camera heads of 12.7mm.
Applications:
  • NDT: Supports magnetic particle testing (MT) and penetrant testing (PT) with videoscope capabilities.
  • Food Processing: Used for contamination search.
  • Automotive: Assists in body-cavity sealing control.
  • Infrastructure: Detects air conditioning leakages.
Features:
  • UV mode emits 365nm light, enhancing PT and MT inspections.
  • White light can be adjusted for better orientation and failure identification.
  • Remote focus control and light control pendant are included.
Environmental and Operational Parameters:
  • Camera operation range: -15°C to +65°C.
  • CCU operation range: -20°C to +45°C.
  • Watertightness: 1.5 bar/15 meters water.
Light Parameters:
  • UV emission at 365 nm with a lifetime of over 10,000 hours.
  • Daylight LED lifetime also exceeds 10,000 hours.
Recommended Consumables:
  • MT: Type I fluorescent penetrant according to AMS – 2644, Level 3 and 4.
  • Other UV applications include materials emitting visible light due to absorption of 365nm UV energy.

Genuine 365nm UV and daylight dualscope NDT: MT / PT supporting videoscoope Food processing: Contamination search Automotive: Body-cavity sealing control Infrastructure: Air condition leackages Modell 15 meter UVin 43 Custom design 1 PT testing turbine component UV 2 Flaw search (VT) using INVIZ VUMAN 8/8 RF in close-up mode 3 PT flaw test using INVIZ UVin 4-6 Body-cavity wax sealing control Employing the latest LED illumination technology, known draw backs from quartz or liquid UV light guides are history with INVIZ UVin. In UV mode, the probe will emit exactly 365nm light enabling PT and MT inspections in a quality and of areas that weren’t possible before... Adding white light on a freely choosen level will allow easy access and full orientation inside the application. Failures are easy to identify. The viewing contrast can’t be higher. The worlds first real UV dual videoscope is available in two diameters and two standard length: 4 meter desktop and 8 or 15 meter reel design. With as little as 12 millimeter the UVin 12.7 probe will allow to inspect even trough the smallest entrance. The quad beam of the UVin 43 will give a full overview even in huge cavities such as large engine cylinders and the like.
