Product catalog summary
Overview: The Verivolt Encore is a current to voltage transducer designed for measuring isolated and ground currents. It is part of the Verivolt family and focuses on cost-effective and high-performance solutions for distributed systems like substations and power distribution systems. The Encore series supports current ranges from ±0.1A to ±5A, with customizable bandwidth up to 40kHz and 0.2% accuracy.
Specifications: The Encore transducers have a scaling factor ranging from 1:1 to 50:1, depending on the current range. They can handle overload currents for 10 seconds and have an input impedance that varies with the current range. The output impedance is 2k Ω, with an accuracy of ±0.2% and a bandwidth of 40kHz. The output voltage is ±100mV, and the gain temperature drift is ±25 ppm/°C.
Mechanical Specifications: The Encore features a BNC input connector and has outer dimensions of 0.68”Ø x 3.0”. It weighs 34 grams and can operate in temperatures ranging from -35 to 70 °C, with storage temperatures from -40 to 80 °C. Its compact size allows for easy mounting between the signal source and data acquisition system.
Hardware Description: The Encore operates as a current to voltage shunt, generating a ±100mV signal for its nominal input current range. It is suitable for high channel density applications when used with the EasyConnect family.
Safety Warning: The Encore sensor is not a safety device and should not be used as such. It lacks self-checking redundant circuitry, and failure could result in hazardous conditions.
Standards and Certifications: The product complies with CE standards.
Hardware Configuration: To ensure proper operation, secure the sensor to prevent disconnection, ensure the input signal cable is de-energized, and connect the BNC cable to the sensor output, ensuring proper grounding.

Encore Current to Voltage Transducer / Shunt Verivolt Encore is part of the Verivolt family of current to voltage transducers designed to measure isolated and ground currents. The main focus of the Encore family is to ease and accelerate measuring the output current from low voltage current sources as well as isolated current transformers (CT). Particular attention was paid on providing a solution that minimizes cost and improves overall performance on distributed systems such as substations, building monitoring, power distribution systems, etc. The Encore series covers the ranges of ±0.1A, ±1A, ±2A, ±3A, ±4A and ±5A with customizable bandwidth of up to 40kHz and 0.2% accuracy SPECIFICATION Eletronical Scaling Factor (1V output voltage) Overload Current (60Hz sinewave for 10s) Input impedance at 60Hz Output impedance HARDWARE DESCRIPTION Verivolt Encore 5c operates as a current to voltage shunt that generates a ±100mV range signal for it’s nominal input current range. This signal can then be processed by a computer based measurement platform. In conjunction with the EasyConnect family, the Encore is the ideal solution for high channel density applications Input-Output non-linearity Output voltage Gain temperature drift Phase mismatch Output type Single-ended signal Output impedance Output connector Functional Diagram of Encore Environmental< ±10μV Operating temperature Storage temperature Mounting example of Encore Input connector (1-Pin Coaxial) Outer Dimensions (Cylindrical shape) Due to its compact size and shape, the Encore can be easily mounted anywhere between the signal source and the data acquisition system. The versions up to 5A may even be used inline with the cable and not require any mounting at all. All can be secured to fixtures using cable ties. (1) Form factor can vary for customized solutions.
