The BiSlide belt drive assembly is designed for applications requiring long travel and high speeds, achieving speeds up to 3 meters per second with direct drive motors. It includes a motor/gearbox mounted at 90 degrees to the traverse, driving a steel-reinforced timing belt. The belt drive is more efficient for moving light loads at high speed compared to screw motion BiSlide, but requires precautions for vertical use due to lack of self-locking.
