This document provides detailed specifications and features of Velmex's manual rotary tables and turntables. It includes information on different models, their design, and applications.
Rotary Tables
Rotary tables utilize a worm and gear drive design with a central rotating ball bearing. Two main series are discussed:
- Series A4800: Available in three models with gear ratios of 18:1, 36:1, and 72:1. Features include a hollow spindle, 360° scale, and a graduated knob. These tables can be motorized with a NEMA 23 motor.
- Model A5990TS: Features a 90:1 gear ratio, hollow spindle, and standard black anodized finish. It can be motorized with a NEMA 17 motor.
Both series offer options for minimizing gear backlash and can be adapted for use with UniSlide systems using specific adapter plates.
Specifications:
- Central Horizontal Load Capacity: 200 lbs for A4800, 50 lbs for A5990TS
- Central Vertical Load Capacity: 25 lbs for A4800, 5 lbs for A5990TS
- Accuracy: 100 arc-second
Turntables
Turntables differ from rotary tables as they can be spun freely by hand and feature a 12° range of fine position adjustment. They are suitable for mounting and rotating test specimens, cameras, and sensors.
Key features include:
- Engraved 360° scale with 6-minute resolution
- Maximum horizontal load capacity of 200 pounds
- Spring-loaded tangent screw drive for fine adjustments
Turntables cannot be motor-driven and are not recommended for tensile or vertical loads greater than 1 lb.
Models:
- Model A2505TS: Mounts on A15 Series 3” slider and A25 or B25 2 1/2” sliders.
- Model A4007TS: Mounts on all A40 or B40 sliders and A/B 60 sliders.
Both models have specific mounting configurations and adapter compatibility.
