* Automated remote local manual control * Repeatable operation control utilizing optically encoded position feedback regulatory compliance Stage Positioner The Veeco SMC-II Growth Stage Positioner (GSP) is utilized with Veeco manipulators to provide very precise closed-loop motion control of substrate indexing (angular position) and substrate rotation. Optically encoded position feedback allows precise, highly accurate and reproducible positioning. Substrate-control operations can be performed in two ways, separately or in conjunction. The front panel touch-screen display provides continuous alphanumeric readout of substrate position and system operating status, or use a process control computer to remotely send commands to the unit via a serial connection. User-selectable communications protocols (Modbus/RU or Bisync) provide easy integration with existing MBE growth control software. Non-volatile memory allows fast and automatic recall of configurations and the ability to save a set of custom values. Product Specifications
