The Tiger is an advanced wet blasting system designed for high-capacity production, integrating wet blasting, rinsing, and drying into one automated system. It features a fully automatic in-line system optimized for tooling applications, an intuitive color HMI, and Industry 4.0 connectivity. It can handle up to 20 component pallets or a maximum load of 40kg, offering sophisticated process control and consistent processing within +/-5μm.
The system is suitable for cutting tools and applications such as edge honing, surface cleaning, polishing, selective coating removal, and peening. It can handle replaceable inserts of varying 3D geometries and remove burrs without dimensional change.
The Tiger automates the loading, wet blasting, rinsing, drying, and unloading of components, allowing for the development and storage of up to 999 blast recipes. Components are transported on conveyor belts, with options for semi-independent blast heads and customizable nozzle arrangements. The system includes detergent washing, ultrasonic cleaning, and drying stages, all monitored via the HMI control panel.
The process involves wet blasting, rinsing, ultrasonic cleaning, and drying, with each stage controlled to ensure consistent surface quality and prevent corrosion.
The machine supports automation through RFID readers and barcode scanners for recipe loading and process monitoring. It includes infeed and outfeed conveyor systems, a gantry robot for pallet transfer, and a flipping unit for double-sided processing.
The machine features a stainless steel blast cabinet, polyurethane belt conveyors, a slurry system with vortex pumps, and a CNC servo drive gantry robot. It includes a continuous abrasive filtration system, an HMI control system, and a cabinet exhaust system. Optional enhancements include translation of manuals, roof hatches for robot loading, and various slurry system enhancements.

Service conditions include electricity (400/480V, 3 phase), process air supply (6-7 bar pressure), control air supply, and water supply with specified pressure and quality. A drain system with a grit trap and a vent or extraction system are necessary.
Vapormatt provides project management from order to installation, including QA checks, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Process development and training are part of the commissioning process.

Levels of automation All levels of automation of the Tiger machine can be completed by either RFID readers/barcode scanners to enable the automatic loading of recipes and monitoring throughout the process line.
