LIGHT FASTNESS TESTER Compact and user-friendly bench-top instrument designed to test color fastness to light exposure. The built-in 1500W Xenon air-cooled lamp replicates the complete sunlight spectrum. Irradiance uniform distribution along the specimen is fundamental. This irradiance uniformity is guaranteed by a curved reflectance chamber with the Xenon lamp in the focus (according to main International Standards, sample rotation is not necessary to guarantee irradiance uniformity). It is endowed with a PLC, to monitor the test parameters duration and to adjust the lamp irradiance level. Samples are placed into the test area and are exposed to irradiance for the time requested by the Standard as well as at some intermediate steps. According to the specific method, the assessment is carried out comparing the exposed sample with the reference one (blue scales and/or grey scales).
