The test counter starts operating when the first metal wire is cut by the abrasion belt; the test lasts until the second metal wire is cut by the moving abrading belt. The longer the test duration is, the higher the resistance of the sample is. Testing procedure: UNI EN 14120: a sample is put onto the sample holder, positioned under a known weight and at a drop height of 50 mm; the abrasive belt will move at a preset speed and the sample is dropped onto the moving belt. The instrument will automatically stop after preset periods of time, to allow the operator to check the abrasion on the sample under test.
