Product catalog summary
General Characteristics
This flooding detector provides precise control of liquid levels by measuring the conductivity of the liquid. It operates with low potential and alternating currents to prevent electrode incrustation caused by galvanic action from direct currents. The contact of electrodes with the liquid triggers a relay in the control unit, which can activate alarms or drain pumps. The electrodes are made of AISI 316 stainless steel, and the device is designed for wall mounting with a protection degree of IP65.
Technical Data
  • Power Supply: 24/230 Vac +10% at 50/60 Hz, with options for 110 Vac.
  • Power Consumption: 5 VA.
  • Power Supply to Probes: 22 Vac.
  • Electrodes: 2 pieces, each 20 mm in length, made of AISI 316.
  • Sensitivity: Adjustable from 10 to 60 µS, factory set at 20 µS.
  • Output Relay: SPDT, 250 Vac, 6A.
  • Operating Temperature: -20 to +50 °C.
  • Housing: 110 x 110 x 65 mm, made of ABS.
  • Degree of Protection: IP65.
  • Mounting: Wall mounting.
  • Electrical Connection: 10 poles terminal board with PG7 cable input.
Wiring and Dimensions
The terminal board includes connections for input signals from electrodes, output relay, and power supply. Specific terminals are designated for each function, ensuring proper wiring and operation.
Control and Adjustment
  • Control: To test the relay, short circuit terminals 1 and 3; the relay should switch on, and the LED should light up.
  • Sensitivity Adjustment: The unit is factory set at 20 µS. Submerge electrodes in the liquid and adjust the trimmer on the PCB to switch the relay.
Nomenclature
The nomenclature includes details such as the flooding detector type, sensitivity, electrode length, degree of protection, and power supply options, as outlined in Table 1.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS This flooding detector allows an extremely precise control of the level of liquid. The system is based on measurement of the conductivity of the liquid to be detected and works with low potential and with alternating currents, in order to avoid the incrustation of the electrodes normally caused by the use of direct currents, which cause a galvanic action on materials. The contact of the electrodes with the liquid under control determines the actuation of a relay inside the control unit, with which you can drive alarms or drain pumps. • AISI 316 stainless steel electrodes. • Wall mounting.
