The ELECTRA SL conductive level-probe features up to four coated electrodes, hermetically sealed with epoxy resin. It provides electrical output via a DIN 43650 plug and offers a minimum protection degree of IP65.
The probe can have 1 to 4 electrodes with lengths of 500, 1000, or 1500 mm. The electrodes are coated with materials such as Polyolefins, Kynar, or PTFE. It can withstand a maximum pressure of 6 Bar and a temperature of up to 100°C, maintaining a protection degree of IP65.
The probe dimensions vary based on the number of electrodes, with thread sizes ranging from 3/8” to 1-1/2”. The process connection materials include Polypropylene, Nickel plated brass, and AISI-316, with options for parallel or conical threads.
Probes are supplied in standard lengths and may need shortening based on the liquid level. The ground electrode should always be the longest and immersed. After shortening, the coating should be removed from the terminal part to expose the metal. Maintenance involves periodic checks and cleaning of electrodes with non-aggressive liquids.
The nomenclature for the SL series probes includes details on process connection material, dimensions, thread, number and length of electrodes, coating material, and electrical output. These probes, when used with VNR21.22 control units, effectively control liquid levels with a minimum conductivity of 1µS, suitable for industrial environments.
